America genuinely wasn’t ready.

Tonight at the 2017 Billboard Music Awards, K-Pop Group BTS made their U.S. awards show red carpet debut. The seven-member group has made one of the largest impact on American charts since PSY, having been global sensations since their single “No More Dream” which was released back in 2013.

The boy band has an immense and nothing less than dedicated international following, with almost 6 million followers on Twitter and a little over 3 million on Instagram.

They’re the first K-Pop group to have been nominated, and when asked about what being nominated means to them in an article from Refinery29, they responded:

It’s an awesome thing, and we are excited about it all. First being invited to the BBMAs where all these huge artists gather in the same place. If we win the Top Social Artist Award, it is because of the dedication from our A.R.M.Y.s [their fans] around the world and our honor and gratitude goes directly to them. We feel that music is the international language and we feel the love from all over the world through that.

Having the K-Pop group nominated is not only exciting for their fans, but it’s a celebration of diversity within music and most importantly representation.

Vogue topped it off and claimed them as the “Best Dressed Boy Band at the Billboard Music Awards” which… just look at them for yourself:
